Experiencing His Freedom 

BE STILL KNOW I AM YOUR GOD  

Father Bill McCarthy in his booklet “Listening to God,” indicates that God speaks to us in the ordinary events of our life in so many ways.  We just have to learn how to discern his voice. I have just indicated the ways in which God has touched my life. This is not new. It can be traced back to the beginning of time. Scripture is the major source of this verification.  The lives of saints is yet another source. If you look within your heart you will recoognize those special moments when God has touched you in some manner. 

This is the resource that can be drawn upon that is seldom discussed in books on the psychological development of the person. It is a phenomenon that is relegated to the realm of imagination or zealous religiousness. Yet, if you look back through history you will see many occasions where people have been touched by the presence of God. 

Perhaps the simplest example comes from the music of the church.  How many times have you gone to Mass and heard the song, I Am The Bread of Life?  If you read the lyrics to this song it is Jesus speaking to us.  How was this song written?  The author in prayer was inspired to write these words.  Today they are a beautiul expression of God’s Love sung repeatedly at Mass. Little thought is given to the incredible fact that the song is such an impossible happening.  It is accepted as an expression of faith on the part of the writer. 

Look back at the Tantum Ergo and O Salutaris. They were written by a Saint as an expression of faith. Look at the song Come Holy Ghost. It is a prayerful plea by the author for the presence of God to come into his heart. Is it possible that these lyricists and musicians were experiencing the very thing that I discuss in the opening words of this paper?  

How many people have read the “words” of St. Faustina who was open to the communication from beyond this world.  Today there is the lay apostle Annie who writes prolifically the words that she hears in prayer. Saints in the past were just like you and me. Many record their experiences with “listening” to the Lord. St. Bonaventure even used the words he received in teaching about the Presence of God in their lives. 

All I am suggesting is that if you become silent in your heart, you will begin to experience the Touch of the Divine in your heart.  Once this happens you will also experience new freedom to explore this Touch of Love internally. Freedom begins when your questioning ends.  Oh you will still question the author of whatever you experience. However, somehow the Author will identify Himself.

 MEDITATION

I MAKE YOU AWARE OF ME

I am here with you in your now. I make you aware of Me. I allow My Warmth to flow through your body. I give you physical awareness of the fact that I, Jesus, am here. Thus, just be here with Me. Enjoy Our Gentle Love. Be set free by The Love that We share. Know this, My friend. I will always find a way to make you aware that I am here with you.

Readers I do the same in you. You may not feel heat. Then again you may. That makes no difference. I find My Way of letting you know I , Jesus the Messiah, am here. You know this is true. You feel My Presence in you. That is My Love awakening dormant cells in your being. That is My Treasure Chest being opened within you.

Thus, be still. Be at Peace. Know that I am here with you. Accept the Love I share even if you do not feel a thing. Know that My Love in you is what makes your heart sing.

HEART BEAT

 I draw you closer to Me. I refresh your being. I lift you up to My Sacred Heart. I enter your heart beat. I realign its regularity. It beats in accord with My Words.

Be saved. Be loved. Be free.Love me.

 Trust Me. Be Mine. Know Me. In you!

Be still. Be still. Trust Me.Love Me.

Thus, We continue on in Love. Love opens you to more. I take you through My Open Door. I give you more and more and more. Oh My friend! Our Love will never end. Be aware of this. We share heavenly bliss. We give you Heaven's Kiss.

 Just be. Just be. Heart beat with Us!

Ba dum! Ba dum! We love you too!

 QUICKIES

 These are quickies. I know. You are tired. You cannot internalize more. Thus, just be still. Know this is Our Will for you. When you can handle more, We will give you More.

CROSSING OUT TIME

I wash away memories of the past. I do not allow them to surface. I set you free from the shackles of time. I rewind your memory tape. I set you free from past misery. I reorient your mind. I connect you to Me intellectually. Your newly emerging schema views life time free. You walk with Me in My Timeless Love.

What is always is! What was disappears. What will be no longer matters? You are in Love timelessly. Love colors your thought processes. Love eliminates memories of humanity's messes.

I reorient your thinking. I enable you to just be with Me time free. Have no fear. I do what is necessary in you. I wash away the sands of time. I make you eternally Mine. You do not understand Me. That is to be expected. You want to generate questions. I block you from doing this.

I simply say. Be still. Follow Me. Use your will. Step away from thinking. Know My Love experientially. Just be with Me silently. Just be. Just be with Me silently.

I cross humanity's timeline. I take you home with Me. What does this mean?
Oh My friends! Time will tell.
