INSTRUMENTS OF MY PEACE

OUR INTERACTIVE MUTUAL LOVE   

Free will choice is the core of the relationship that develops between the Heart of Jesus and our hearts. The more we choose to be in relationship with Jesus, the Father and/or the Most Holy Spirit the deeper the relationship in love becomes. The Sacraments of the Church are the means through which we choose to be in Love with God.  Reconciliation cleanses our hearts, our souls and our minds.  We repent, turn away from sin and towards the Love that always is.  The Grace of  this Sacrament enables us to be in concert with the Love that always is.  It is a form of cleansing sin and its stain from our souls. Choosing to receive this sacrament frequently opens our being more fully to the Love of God and fosters an inner desire to receive that love physically in the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. 

Transubstantiation is a reality that cannot be denied.  Oh! We may not think of it as we receive the consecrated Body and Blood of Jesus in the form of bread and wine each time we walk down the aisle, hold out our hand and say with our heart, “Amen” to the words, “Body of Christ.” That does not matter.  The reality is that we are receiving the True Presence of Jesus into our body physically.  That action confirms the belief that we have. We act on this belief.  We step forward in our own personal altar call and receive the Resurrected Body and Blood of Jesus. Each time we receive the Eucharist the Promise of New Life enters our body physically and changes the very essence of our being. 

From that moment on and from each moment that we receive this Gift of Heaven, we deliberately and freely choose to be in relationship with Our God.  That free will action opens us to His Presence in us in ways that we can never understand.  All that we know is that We tell Jesus by our actions that we freely choose to be in Love with Him and that we are open to His Presence in us in whatever way He deems right and proper. 

It is hard to believe that Jesus would deign to relate to us in a personal, intimate and internal manner. Yet, He does.  He comes to us in the way that best fits our personality.  He touches us privately in such a way that it is impossible for us to deny that His Presence in Love in us is quite real. 

Some are touched with a sense of Peace.  Others hear words. Some are inspired to write music. Still others create beautiful art images.  The ways in which He touches each person are as unique and as distinct as is the person who freely chooses to be open to His
Presence.  This is not only a belief of our church, it is a reality played out in the hearts, souls and minds of those who are open to the Love that always is. 

This may all sound like fantasy.  However, once you have an inner experience of His Love, the fantasy becomes a reality that you are drawn to pursue throughout the remainder of your life.  This touch creates a hunger and thirst in you for more and more of His Love to such an extent that you find a way to make your quest a major focal point of your daily life. 

Religion has been called by non-believers “the Opium of The People.” In a sense, even though such detractors meant this description to be ridicule, this description is quite apt.  We fall in Love with Our Messiah and the Love that He shares intimately within us day after day after day in our walk through the world of temporary. 

He becomes the Center of our lives.  Once that happens all else flows from that core of our being.  Everything in life, no matter how heart rending it may be, becomes doable because we walk in the Relationship of Love that forever shapes the ways in which we think, speak and act.  That is the nature of the Mutual Relationship in Love that guides us 24/7. 

That description is not the usual description found in psychology text books. However, that daily interactive Love that is experienced through the participation in the sacramental life of the Church is the way through which lives are changed and incomplete hearts are made complete. 

Do we lose that relationship? Of course we do.  We move in and out of that relationship throughout each moment that we live in the world of man.  Our free will choices are not always perfect.  After all we are human.  We are imperfect beings.  However, the Love that we seek comes after us and draws us back into the nexus of this relationship. We acquiesce because we wish to be in that love.  We recognize that The Love is a Gift from the Good Shepherd who never lets us stray too far off course in our journey through time to forever. 

How do I, as a psychologist, enable those with various forms of problems get this across to clients?  I simply explain things to them. I then get out of the way and let the Good Lord have His way.  He is the Initiator and the Gardener that tends to the soil on which His Seeds of Love are cast.

INSTRUMENTS OF PEACE - A MEDITATION

Be an instrument of My Peace. Share My Love with all you meet. Let your touch be My Touch. Let My Healing Power flow through you. Be Me for others. Allow My Will to be done in you and through you in others.

I, Jesus the Messiah endow you with My Legacy of Healing Love. I do so with the blessing of My Father through the Power of Our Mutual Love, The Most Holy Spirit. I flow through you to those in need. I allow you the privilege of healing others in My Name. I give this Gift of Healing Love to all who surrender themselves to the Power of My Love in them. My Love sets you and them free to do My Will in daily life.

I call you now to receive My True Presence in the Eucharist daily. I wish to nourish My Love in you. Come. Be in Communion with Me.

Through the Wonder of My True Presence in you I share the Power of My Healing Love through all you are to do for Me. Receive My Peace. Be anointed by My Love. You have become an Instrument of My Peace.

Readers! These words are for you as well as for My friend. I make you Instruments of My Peace for all whom I send your way. My Love flows through you in much the same way as it flows through My friend.

I am infinitely generous. I give My Love away unconditionally. I do not discriminate in whom I use as Instruments of My Peace. I take even the biggest doubters and fill them with My Love as they open even the tiniest part of their hearts to Me. I reinforce their stumbling surrender to Me through generous portions of My Love.

I feed them spiritually, mentally and physically by the wonder that is My Love in them. I grow rain forests of Love in the hearts of even the greatest cynics by the tiny seed of Love that I plant in that one moment of their inner surrender to the possibility that I, Jesus, dwell in them. Then the race against doubt to become an Instrument of My Peace is on.

My friends! I love you dearly. That is why I relate to you as I do daily. I know the fickleness of your human nature. I know how much reassurance you need. I give you that and a little more so that all doubt is removed from your being.

I am the Love that is eternally freeing. I dwell in you with your assent. I give you freedom to be Me for those whom I send to you. I use doubters and cynics like you because through your inner experiences of My Touches of Love you are more than able to answer the questions of others just entering into My Process of Inner purification.

Healing is not sudden. That is a miracle. Healing occurs in tiny steps. That is why I make all My friends Instruments of My Peace. I am able to pick and choose the perfect instrument to use to effect healing in a soul in trouble.

Thus, rejoice My friends. The club to which you belong is not exclusive. It includes all healing sinners. They fall daily in their walk in temporary. I forgive their repenting hearts. I renew their faltering spirits.

I heal the healers though My True Presence in others and most of all in the Eucharist. I work so hard in all souls. I look forward to the day beyond the end of time when healing is no longer necessary. That is My Forever for My friends as they live on in Life Eternal in My New
Jerusalem.
